Madness and Muchness ch 10'Alice was sitting comfortably in her husband's favorite chair. She quietly embroidered delicate flowers on her husband's shirt. As she set down her embroidery hoop she gazed lovingly at her wedding portrait on the wall. A friend of the Queen's painted it for them. She started sobbing quietly, for it had been about two months since she had seen him and she was worried about the revolt that was going on at Marmoreal. Just when Alice started wiping her eyes with the hem of her petticoat the door was kicked down!
'"Seize that girl!" It was Ilosovic Stayne, the Knave of the once all mighty Red Queen.
'Red knights stormed the house, smashing things and causing much mayhem. Stayne grabbed Alice by the hair and carried her out of the house, as the red knights set it on fire.
'"Tarrant! Tarrant!" Alice screamed for her husband.
'"Shut up!" Stayne screamed at her.
Madness and Muchness ch 9 "Nineteen Quaddrudles and twenty five frapps." Tarrant folded his tape measurer neatly and put it into his pocket. "Or in Overland measurements, Five Feet and Five inches."
"Tarrant, how do I know when I've stopped aging?"
He took out his tape measurer again and started taking her dress measurements. "I really don't know. You haven't grown any, and you don't seem to have gained any weight." He stood up and kissed her. "And your face remains wrinkle free." He kissed her again, and again, and again.
"Tarrant, you do realize that on the Harrapus day it will be my one year anniversary of my return to Underland." She hugged him, "And my return to you."
"Oh, Alice there's something I probably should tell you." He didn't wait for her to respond, "I won't be here that day, the Queen wants me to stay at the castle to hat for her again."

Tarrant took Alice's hand and led her to the dance floor. Everybody was dancing all sorts of dances that Alice had never seen in her life. Tarrant held her hand and tried to show her how to move her feet. They both grinned and giggled in the process and smothered each other with gentle kisses.
Mirana watched them lovingly, "They are such a lovely couple," she said to McTwisp, the white rabbit in the waistcoat, "I hope they spend many happy years together."
"Your Highness, couldn't you check the Oraculum to make sure?"
"I've considered that, but I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise. I'm afraid if I look I'll want to tell them things that they shouldn't know about, and that could ruin the future. No, I think I'll just wait and see."
