Miss Fear Folk Art

Description

I painted this about a week ago. I haven't spent that much time painting in my life but as a graduation gift I got a huge box of acryllic paper. This actually was a protector sheet which came in the package to make sure nothing scratched the top part of the paper while being shipped. I actually liked it the best so I started on it. I made my own version of an embroidery transfer that I LOVE and use a lot. I used acryllic paint and inked it when dry.

My grandma Sandra Fear was the queen of the folk art movement. If you ever go to a craft show you might see a vendor selling farm tools, or gourds with scenery or flowers painted on them. Well in the 70's my grandmother started that! She often sold her works at the world craft fair in Chicago and people came from around the world to buy her stuff! She is so incredibly talented and I wish she would start painting again.

Would you mind if I used this on a bird house gourd I really like it and it would look really great on a gourd
