Madness and Muchness ch 8 "Come on Alice, no need to be shy.""Tarrant, you know I don't know how!""Here Alice I will teach you to futterwhack."Tarrant took Alice's hand and led her to the dance floor. Everybody was dancing all sorts of dances that Alice had never seen in her life. Tarrant held her hand and tried to show her how to move her feet. They both grinned and giggled in the process and smothered each other with gentle kisses.Mirana watched them lovingly, "They are such a lovely couple," she said to McTwisp, the white rabbit in the waistcoat, "I hope they spend many happy years together.""Your Highness, couldn't you check the Oraculum to make sure?""I've considered that, but I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise. I'm afraid if I look I'll want to tell them things that they shouldn't know about, and that could ruin the future. No, I think I'll just wait and see."A small group of Tarrant and Alice's friends stood ou
Madness and Muchness ch 7 It was almost like any other day for Alice in Marmoreal castle. She wandered aimlessly through the halls, admiring the paintings, smelling the flowers, all of the usual things. Except this wasn't like any other day. The servants were hurrying, tidying up the castle, talking extra sweetly to the plants, and making sure everything was right for the wedding that would occur the following day, between the Queen's Champion, and her Hatter."Tarrant
" Alice sneaked into his sewing room, where he was working. He turned around and covered her eyes, "Alice, you know you aren't supposed to be seeing what I'm working on, you naughty girl you.""Don't I get at least a little peek at my wedding dress.""Now Alice you know it's bad luck for you to see the dress before the wedding."Alice pondered that thought for the moment, "Well, I'll have to get dressed 'before' the wedding, and I'll see my dress then. So ei
Madness and Muchness ch 6 Alice and Tarrant cuddled on his half-torn-apart sofa staring at the fireplace. Everything wasn't in it's proper place, except for their own hearts. Alice had her head rested on his shoulder, and Tarrant was brushing her hair."You know, I'm glad I found that ring." He smiled softly, "It was my mother's."Alice admired the loveliness of her engagement ring. It had intricate engravings of gardens and flowers on the silver band. The gem was a light shade of periwinkle, and if you softened your eyes just so, you could see a small heart in the center. "It's lovely Tarrant." She snuggled into his chest. "What do you suppose you're going to do when I head back to Marmoreal?""Wait, I have an idea!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pair of scissors. "Hold still Alice." He snipped off a small lock of her blonde hair and put it
Madness and Muchness Ch 5 Tarrant was going through a mad rage. He was tearing up his house, throwing the sheets off the bed, tearing pages out of books, and sifting through the ashes in his fireplace looking for something. The problem was he didn't know what he was looking for though."SLIM SCUM SLACKING URBAL SCUM!!!" He threw his wardrobe into the wall. He screamed and started rolling around on the floor."Where is it! Where is what? Where is it! Where is what? Where is it! I'VE GONE MAD!!!" Meanwhile, Alice was sitting in the dining room eating dinner with the White Queen. She felt a strange sensation in her chest."What's wrong Alice?" asked Mirana.Alice suddenly felt cold all over, "I don't know, I just have this bad feeling all of a sudden."Mirana leaned forward and whispered to her, "Is it the soup?"Alice looked around the room, "No, the soup is fine."
Madness and Muchness Ch 4 Alice tenderly hugged Tarrant, as they stood at the entrance of Marmoreal Castle."I'll miss you Tarrant, do come and visit."Tarrant whispered in her ear, "Only if you promise to come visit me."Alice let go of him and watched as he rode into a royal carriage off to his home in Tugley Woods. She suddenly felt incredibly sad. There were many things to do in Marmoreal castle, much more things to do than in the entire country of England. But it wouldn't be the same without Tarrant. She knew that she would miss his laughter, no matter how mad he was. She missed the rhythmic sound of his sewing machine, she often fell asleep in his sewing room just listening to him delicately sewing a lace trim on a dress. Whenever she woke up, she was back in her room. Tarrant always sent the guards to carry Alice back to her room, because the court would suspect an affair was going on. It didn'
